Although this books is divided into chapters, like the other writings of John O'Donohue, it is essentially one undulating flow of thought, reflection, conversation and exploration of beauty within and without, of the "home beyond." If you have come to this review you are probably open and receptive to John's writings already. This book will not disappoint you. For me, it is the one that has resonated most strongly with me and my life experience to date. That is no reflection on the other books of his that I have read. It could well be the case that this was simply the most auspicious time for me to read this book. And if this is your first time to engage with a publication of John O'Donohue's, and you are hesitant or unsure, give it a try. Like all the greatest writing, it will reward re-reading and re-reflection, whenever you find the time to re-engage.
